After the success achieved with more than 25 double-decker tourist buses delivered since 2018 to the main European tourist cities such as Paris, London, Brussels and Amsterdam, we have carried out a test in Barcelona with our new generation bus to confirm the perfect adaptation to the operation required by TMB.
The positive consumption results with only 0.8 kWh/km (without passengers and with air conditioning for the driver) validate our solution as the most efficient on the market thanks to its optimized chassis technology with higher energy density batteries and in-wheel-motors without transmission, which allow greater autonomy, lower operation and maintenance costs as well as maximizing seating capacity.
The maneuverability was verified in all the circumstances of the tourist routes with demanding areas such as the access to Port Vell, where our bus confronted the access ramps in a successful way thanks to an optimized suspension system together with dimensions that allow to face complicated routes without incidents.
The great power available (400 kW of maximum power and 240 kW of nominal power) makes it possible to face any section without the inconveniences that today can present the current buses.
The comfort of the dynamic behavior as well as the optimized driving position provide adequate ergonomics to the driver to make their work easier, such as adding regenerative braking combined with brake pedal and retarder lever.
The new orders already incorporate batteries with higher energy density that allow to reduce even more weight in running order, as well as being able to offer up to 10 years of warranty on the batteries. All this while maintaining the configuration and flexible parameterization in length of the bus (from 10 to 13 m) together with the capacity of batteries (from 145 to 434 kWh).
